Bengaluru is set to host the 7th Indian Open Para Athletics Championship on July 11–12, 2025, at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, bringing together 262 of the nation’s most determined para-athletes. The event serves as the final selection trial for the New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships, making it a defining moment in India’s para-sports calendar.

The championship will feature elite athletes such as Sumit Antil (F64 Javelin), Praveen Kumar (High Jump, T44), Yogesh Kathuniya (Discus Throw, F56), Dharambir Nain (Club Throw, F51), Rinku Hooda (Javelin Throw, F46), and Simran (100m & 200m, T12).
Supported by Balmer Lawrie, AMFI, Leonard Cheshire Disability, and Cognizant Foundation, the event underscores a strong commitment to inclusivity and excellence.
 
Athletes will compete across a wide range of track and field disciplines, showcasing India’s growing prowess in para athletics.
