UIDAI invites Indian citizens to design an official Aadhaar mascot representing values of trust, inclusivity, empowerment, and digital innovation. Open until October 31, 2025, the MyGov-hosted contest offers cash prizes totaling ₹1 lakh and the chance to create a national symbol for Aadhaar communication.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced an exciting national Mascot Design Contest for Aadhaar, aiming to create a unique ambassador that will personify the spirit and values of one of India’s most critical digital identity systems. The contest, hosted on the government’s MyGov platform, is open to all Indian citizens, whether individuals or teams, and is accepting submissions until October 31, 2025.
Creativity Meets National Service
Participants are invited to submit an original mascot design along with a name and a brief concept note explaining how their creation reflects Aadhaar’s core values — trust, inclusivity, empowerment, and digital innovation. The mascot will serve as the visual ambassador of UIDAI, making communications more relatable and engaging across all age groups, while showcasing Aadhaar’s attributes of service, security, and accessibility.
Prizes and Recognition
The competition offers a total prize pool of ₹1 lakh — ₹50,000 for the first prize, ₹30,000 for the second, and ₹20,000 for the third — plus certificates of recognition. Selected designs will be employed across print, digital, animation, and branding initiatives nationwide, giving winners a lasting place in India’s digital history.
Design Guidelines and Submission
To ensure the mascot embodies Aadhaar’s mission, UIDAI requires the design to be original, simple, engaging, and inclusive, appealing to a diverse demographic including children, youth, and seniors. Entries must be submitted only through the official MyGov contest page. UIDAI will judge submissions on creativity, originality, aesthetic appeal, relevance to Aadhaar’s values, and versatility across multiple media formats.
This contest offers a unique opportunity for creatives across India to contribute to a symbol that will represent the digital identity of over a billion citizens. Through this initiative, UIDAI aims to foster public connection and trust in Aadhaar while encouraging artistic innovation.
