Char Dham Yatra 2025: Kedarnath Bans Mobiles, Reels & Video Recording to Preserve Sanctity

In a significant move ahead of the Char Dham Yatra 2025, the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has banned mobile phones, video recording, and social media reels within a 30-meter radius of the Kedarnath Temple. This decision comes after incidents of inappropriate behavior and viral videos last year disrupted the spiritual atmosphere of the sacred site.

 

The temple committee emphasized that the ban aims to maintain the sanctity and serenity of the temple, ensuring a peaceful darshan experience for devotees. Strict measures, including CCTV surveillance and thorough checks at entry points, will be implemented to enforce this rule. Violators will face penalties, including denial of entry.

 

Authorities have also urged pilgrims to dress modestly and respect the spiritual essence of the yatra. With these measures in place, the administration hopes to uphold the sacredness of Kedarnath while ensuring a smooth pilgrimage experience for all devotees.
