CleanMax and Osaka Gas Group have joined forces to fast-track India's green energy transition. The collaboration is to establish renewable energy power plants with a combined capacity of 400 MW in the first phase, beginning with 300 MW. This will enable corporate customers to move to a low-carbon economy and drive India's high-potential Commercial and Industrial (C&I) market. Operations will start in Karnataka, a potential renewable energy hub. The joint venture, Clean Max Osaka Gas Renewable Energy Private Limited, has an investment of Rs 1,500 crore.
