Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd (CMRL), a leading producer of synthetic rutile and ferric chloride, has announced two significant leadership changes aimed at reinforcing governance and strategic continuity. The board has appointed Joby Mathew as Chief Financial Officer effective September 2025, while founder and long-serving Managing Director Dr. S N Sasidharan Kartha has been designated as Chairman Emeritus.

  • Joby Mathew will assume the role of CFO from September 2025, bringing with him extensive experience in financial strategy, compliance, and capital structuring across the chemicals and minerals sectors.
