India Pesticides Limited (IPL), a leading agrochemical manufacturer, has announced a significant expansion of its formulation plant, increasing its production capacity by 3,500 metric tonnes (MT) per annum—from 6,500 MT to a robust 10,000 MT. This move is part of the company’s broader strategy to meet rising domestic and international demand while bolstering its position in the global agrochemical market.

Capacity Boost: The Sandila plant, one of IPL’s flagship facilities in Uttar Pradesh, has seen its technical capacity jump by 3,500 MT, following a series of phased investments and upgrades. This expansion is expected to improve manufacturing efficiency and create economies of scale.
 
Strategic Investments: IPL has committed substantial capital expenditure (capex), investing around ₹70 crore annually for the past two years, with ongoing plans to further enhance the Sandila facility and develop a new plant in Hamirpur. The company’s total technical capacity at Sandila reached 21,500 MT after a recent 2,000 MT addition, demonstrating IPL’s aggressive growth trajectory.
 
Future Pipeline: IPL’s R&D and customer acquisition teams are actively working on launching new products, with five new offerings slated for introduction by Q2 FY2022-23. These initiatives are expected to further diversify the company’s portfolio and add significant value for stakeholders.
 
Sustainability & Compliance: All expansions adhere to stringent safety, health, and environmental standards, with facilities designed for zero liquid discharge and regular external audits to ensure compliance with international norms.
