Cyient DLM Ltd, a leading electronic manufacturing services provider, named Rajendra Velagapudi as its new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director in place of outgoing CEO Anthony Montalbano. The board approved Velagapudi's new responsibility with effect from today and held him responsible for the overall operations of the company to facilitate continuity and strategic development.
Montalbano's resignation on May 8, 2025, was for personal reasons. To facilitate business continuity, he will remain in close coordination with Velagapudi in the coming weeks to provide uninterrupted business continuity during this leadership transition.
Velagapudi, Managing Director, brings substantial experience in manufacturing and engineering operations. He is known to have spearheaded operational efficiencies, guided supply chain programs, and increased Cyient DLM's presence in emerging markets. The firm will look to leverage its current financial success and grow in aerospace, defense, and other high-growth areas under his leadership.
The leadership change follows a strong financial performance. Cyient DLM saw a 36.5% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹31 crore for the March 31, 2025, quarter, as operating revenue rose 18.3% to ₹428 crore. EBITDA margin rose to 13.4%, demonstrating the company's emphasis on operational excellence along with favorable market conditions.
