Maharashtra Tables Bill to Fast-Track Mining in Gadchiroli, Eyes Industrial Boom

Maharashtra government has brought a bill in the 2025 monsoon session of the assembly to create the Gadchiroli District Mining Authority, a move which will transform the mineral-rich but backward Gadchiroli district into an industrial giant. The 16-member authority headed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will strive to accelerate mining clearances, promote mineral-based industry, and create employment opportunities locally.
