Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd has re-commissioned its Extra High Voltage (EHV) testing laboratory, now capable of testing cables up to 400 kV. This move strengthens the company’s position as a leader in India’s power transmission and distribution sector, and supports the growing demand for reliable, high-voltage infrastructure.

The EHV testing lab, located at Diamond Power’s Vadodara facility, is equipped to test cables up to 400 kV, ensuring compliance with stringent quality and safety standards.
The facility features advanced equipment for partial discharge, impulse testing, and other critical assessments as per IEC standards, supporting the production of world-class power cables.
This lab is part of a broader infrastructure that allows Diamond Power to manufacture and test a wide range of power transmission products, including LV, HV, and EHV cables (from 1.1 kV to 550 kV), as well as conductors and transmission towers.

The re-commissioned lab will help Diamond Power serve utilities, EPC contractors, and industrial clients who require high-reliability cables for demanding applications such as power plants, refineries, and large infrastructure projects.

The company’s Vadodara plant is recognized as one of India’s first dedicated facilities for EHV cable manufacturing, with an annual capacity of 2,000 km for cables ranging from 220 kV to 550 kV.
