Dubai Chamber of Commerce (DCC) opened its second Indian office in Bengaluru, emphasizing its strategic move towards technology, AI, and startups. Opened on April 9 during the visit of Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan, the move is indicative of the UAE's quest to intensify tech collaboration and digital economy ties with India's technology hub.
Experts opine that Bengaluru's status as a global startup hub makes it the ideal launchpad for joint ventures in AI, fintech, and clean energy. The new office will fuel investment, facilitate cross-border partnerships, and allow Indian technology companies to grow in the Middle East.
The expansion comes amid surging India-UAE non-oil trade—up 19% year-on-year—and is part of Dubai’s global initiative to open 50 offices worldwide by 2030, further cementing economic and tech ties between the two nations.
