Eid-ul-Adha Celebrated Across India with Prayers, Sacrifice & Unity

Muslims across India gathered at mosques and Eidgahs early in the morning to offer special Eid prayers, marking the sacred festival of Eid-ul-Adha. The celebrations were filled with devotion, charity, and community spirit, as families came together to perform Qurbani (ritual sacrifice) and distribute meat among the underprivileged.

 

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings, emphasizing the festival’s values of sacrifice, faith, and harmony. Modi shared on X, “Best wishes on Eid-ul-Adha. May this occasion inspire harmony and strengthen the fabric of peace in our society.” Security measures were heightened in major cities, ensuring a peaceful celebration.

 

In Delhi, thousands gathered at Jama Masjid, while in Mumbai, community feasts and prayers brought people together. In Kolkata, children dressed in tricolor attire symbolized unity, reflecting the festival’s spirit of togetherness.
