Hero MotoCorp has launched the XPulse 210, a successor to the hit XPulse 200 4V, and it is set to revolutionize off-road motorcycling. The XPulse 210 is powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled engine that churns out 24.6PS and 20.7Nm of torque, which is a huge improvement in power and torque over the previous model. A 6-speed transmission as an option makes high-way cruising easier, but high-end technologies such as ride-by-wire throttle, riding modes, switchable ABS, and TFT screen with smartphone integration push its technology index higher.
Suspension travel on the bike has been raised (210mm front, 205mm rear), delivering better off-road performance. Taller seat height (830mm) and heavier kerb weight (168kg) might become a problem for shorter riders, though. Priced at ₹1.76 lakh (base), the XPulse 210 is ₹25,000 more expensive than the XPulse 200 but is worth it with its upgraded performance and features.
