The Election Commission of India (ECI) met with top BJP leaders, including party president JP Nadda, Arun Singh, Bhupender Yadav, and Om Pathak, as part of its structured outreach to national and regional political parties. Held at Nirvachan Sadan, the meeting was focused on greater coordination and transparency in the election process, wherein the BJP was able to directly put concerns and suggestions before Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and his team. The ECI clarified that it conducts such consultations annually during the summary revision of electoral rolls with the aim of improving participatory election management and policy-making. This meeting is consistent with a similar meeting with the BSP, in alignment with the Commission's broader vision of enhancing democratic processes by engaging all stakeholders. The ECI has held over 4,700 meetings with political parties throughout the country to date, pointing to its focus on inclusive and transparent elections.
