Prabhsimran’s Power-Hitting Propels Punjab Kings to Commanding Win Over LSG in Dharamsala

Punjab Kings climbed to second in the IPL 2025 points table with a nail-biting 37-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants at Dharamsala's HPCA Stadium. Prabhsimran Singh was the star performer, scoring a blistering 91 off 48 deliveries-his third fifty on the spin this season-and punishing the LSG bowlers with bold strokeplay to lead PBKS to a record 236/5. Shreyas Iyer (45) and Shashank Singh (35*) provided Punjab good support as they posted one of the highest totals of the season.

 

In reply, Arshdeep Singh’s fiery opening spell (3 wickets) dismantled LSG’s top order, leaving them reeling at 27/3. Despite Ayush Badoni’s fighting half-century and an 81-run partnership with Abdul Samad, LSG could only manage 199/7. With this win, PBKS edge closer to playoff qualification, while LSG’s hopes hang by a thread.
