Prescription for the Future: NEET 2025 Conducted Smoothly with 20.8 Lakh Students in Tow

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 was conducted successfully on May 4, with over 20.8 lakh candidates appearing for the test at 548 cities in India and 14 centres abroad. The National Testing Agency (NTA) ensured a smooth conduct of the examination with the support of an integrated "whole-of-government" approach and stringent security measures, including mock drills, biometric authentication, and a central control room. There were no complaints of any untoward incident or malpractice, and the administration made available required amenities like drinking water, first aid, and ambulance services in every centre.

 

The three-hour test, held in pen-and-paper format, included 180 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Students reported Biology as the easiest paper, while Physics was tough. The NEET UG 2025 result may be announced by June 14, 2025.
