From MI to RR: Akash Madhwal Swings Back with a Vengeance

 

Uttarakhand seamer Akash Madhwal debuted for Rajasthan Royals against previous franchise Mumbai Indians on May 1, 2025, as an injury replacement for Sandeep Sharma (broken finger). Madhwal, a slog-over expert, was acquired by RR for ₹1.2 crore in the 2025 auction after being released by MI.
