JioStar placed a strategic wager on India's vision for a creative-tech future by announcing its support for the launch of the Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) at the inaugural WAVES 2025 conference in Mumbai. The IICT, the launch of which was announced by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, would be a national centre of excellence for the animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality (AVGC-XR) industry-benchmarking the position of IITs and IIMs within their respective fields.
Sanjog Gupta, CEO – Sports & Live Experiences at JioStar, talked about the vision of the institute to develop young talent at the intersection of creativity and technology to position young Indians as leaders in the world's digital economy. Seven global tech giants-JioStar, Google, Adobe, NVIDIA, Meta, Apple, and Microsoft-joined hands, signing Letters of Intent to partner with the development of next-generation skills, tools, and platforms.
