In a landmark achievement for India’s electric vehicle (EV) sector, Ola Electric has secured ARAI certification for its 5.2 kWh battery pack powered by the indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell. This certification under AIS-156 Amendment 4 standards by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways marks Ola Electric as the first Indian EV company to receive approval for completely homegrown battery technology.

The certified 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack will debut on Ola’s flagship S1 Pro+ scooter, making it the first vehicle in India powered by Ola’s own battery technology.
