Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a sweeping wave of infrastructure and energy projects worth over ₹26,000 crore from Bikaner, Rajasthan, marking a milestone in India’s drive toward modernization and green energy. The event, attended by dignitaries from 18 states and union territories, showcased the government’s commitment to transforming Rajasthan into a national powerhouse for connectivity, industry, and clean energy.

POWERGRID and Green Energy:
PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several major POWERGRID projects, including solar parks at Bikaner and Nawa, and advanced transmission systems for evacuating renewable energy from Rajasthan to the national grid. The augmentation of transformation capacity at the Fatehgarh-II Power Station and new transmission links will significantly boost clean energy supply and reduce carbon emissions.

Rail and Road Connectivity:
The Prime Minister dedicated electrified rail lines spanning over 1,000 km, flagged off a new Bikaner-Mumbai express train, and inaugurated 103 redeveloped Amrit Bharat railway stations across 18 states. Road infrastructure also received a major push, with new highways, underpasses, and border connectivity projects worth ₹4,850 crore, enhancing trade, mobility, and defense preparedness.

Water, Health, and Industry:
Projects to upgrade state highways, expand rural and urban water supply, and mitigate fluorosis in Jhunjhunu were launched. New nursing colleges in Rajsamand, Pratapgarh, Bhilwara, and Dholpur aim to strengthen healthcare infrastructure. The state’s industrial growth is set for a boost with the near-completion of the Rajasthan refinery and new policies supporting food processing and petroleum-based industries.

National Vision:
PM Modi emphasized that India is now investing six times more in infrastructure than a decade ago, capturing global attention and accelerating regional development. He highlighted Rajasthan’s leadership in renewable energy and the rapid progress of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with over 40,000 beneficiaries in the state already enjoying zero electricity bills.

These projects are set to transform Rajasthan’s economic landscape, positioning Bikaner as a hub for green energy, industrial growth, and world-class connectivity.
