Gallantt Ispat Limited has announced its plan to establish an 18 MW solar power plant at Village Khelaru, Taluka Shidpur, in Mehsana district, Gujarat. The project aligns with the company’s strategic pursuit of sustainable energy solutions amid growing commitments to green infrastructure.
The solar plant is projected to generate approximately 33.75 million kWh of electricity annually, providing both captive energy consumption and potential surplus power for sale to the state grid or energy exchanges. The company anticipates completion and commissioning by the end of May 2026.
The planned investment in the solar project stands at around ₹48.25 crore, which includes leasing approximately 60 acres of land in the region. This move is part of Gallantt Ispat’s broader diversification and sustainability roadmap, complementing its core steel manufacturing operations.
