England Women’s Hockey Team Arrives In Hyderabad For FIH World Cup 2026 Qualifiers

The England women’s national hockey team officially touched down in Hyderabad on February 28, 2026, ahead of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers. The tournament, set to take place from March 8 to 14 at the Gachibowli Hockey Complex, offers the final opportunity for teams to secure their spot in the prestigious 16-nation World Cup scheduled in Wavre, Belgium, and Amstelveen, Netherlands, from August 15–30, 2026.  

England, with a proud legacy of competing in 11 previous FIH World Cups, will face Austria, Italy, and Korea in Pool A. Pool B features India, Scotland, Uruguay, and Wales. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the semifinals, with the winners, bronze medalist, and the highest-ranked fourth-place finisher across qualifier events earning World Cup berths.
