FLY91 Expands Regional Network With Goa-Solapur Route

FLY91 has officially launched its direct flight service between Goa and Solapur, marking a significant milestone in regional air connectivity. The inaugural flight, which landed at Solapur Airport on June 9, was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute, celebrating the airline’s entry into Maharashtra’s industrial and cultural hub.  

Key Highlights Of The New Route  

- The Goa-Solapur-Goa flight operates four times a week on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.  
- The inaugural flight was ceremonially flagged off by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol, alongside Guardian Minister of Solapur Jaykumar Gore and other dignitaries.  
- Inflight announcements are made in Marathi and English, reflecting FLY91’s commitment to regional inclusivity.  
- Solapur becomes the fourth city in Maharashtra to join FLY91’s network, alongside Pune, Jalgaon, and Sindhudurg.  

Strategic Importance Of The Route  

Solapur, known for its textile industry and proximity to major pilgrimage sites, now enjoys direct air connectivity with Goa, a popular tourist destination. The new route is expected to facilitate travel for business professionals, tourists, and pilgrims visiting sites such as Pandharpur, Tuljapur, Akkalkot, Gangapur, and Bhimashankar.  

FLY91’s Expansion Plans  

- The airline plans to introduce direct flights from Nanded to Goa and Bengaluru in July 2025.  
- FLY91 currently operates over 150 flights per week with a fleet of ATR 72-600 aircraft.  
- The airline aims to improve last-mile air access to traditionally underserved domestic destinations.
