If you’re into mobile gaming, today’s a big day: the Free Fire MAX India Cup 2025 qualifiers are officially underway. This is one of the biggest esports events in the country, and it’s already got thousands of squads fired up and ready to battle for a shot at the Rs 1 crore prize pool.
How Do the Qualifiers Work?
The in-game qualifiers are open all day, from 10 in the morning until 11 at night. Each team can play up to 12 matches, but only their best 8 scores will count. That means consistency is key—one bad game won’t ruin your chances, but you’ll need to bring your A-game more often than not.
If you’re wondering who can play, the rules are pretty clear: everyone on the team needs to be at least 16, have reached Level 40, and hold at least a Diamond 1 rank in Free Fire MAX. Teams are made up of four players, with an option for a substitute.
What Happens Next?
After today, the top 48 teams will move on to the Online Qualifiers, which run from July 26 to August 3. Make it through that, and you’re looking at the League Stage in late August and, if you’re really on fire, the Grand Finals at the end of September. The finals will be played offline, so the best squads will get their moment in the spotlight.
Why Should You Care?
This tournament is a huge deal for India’s mobile esports scene, especially since it marks a big comeback for Free Fire after a long break. With big names and new talent in the mix, it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting competitions of the year.
