Key Highlights
Sasya Santhe, Bengaluru's three-day gardening and horticulture fair, ended its 2025 event with the highest ever turn-outs—more than 50,000 gardening families and enthusiasts thronged the University of Horticulture (UHS) Campus on Vidyaranyapura-Yelahanka Road over three days. Organized from July 10 to July 13 by the Regional Horticultural Research and Extension Centre (RHREC) and the College of Horticulture, Bengaluru, the three-day event saw the highest ever turn-outs.
A Marketplace for Everything Green
Sasya Santhe transformed the UHS campus into a thriving market, offering a variety of gardening materials: seed kits, saplings, grafts, medicinal and aromatic plants, and cut flowers.
The public was able to see and purchase vermicompost, potting mixes, garden tools, bio pest control items, fertilizers, and other organic items.
The event was joined by amateur gardeners and professional horticulturists alike, with experts on hand to provide tips on how to look after plants and have eco-friendly gardening practices.
Learning and Community Spirit
It wasn't so much a sale as it was about community, with hands-on interactive displays, demonstrations, and workshops on urban gardening, composting, and organic pest control.
Free admission and a family setting invited individuals of all ages, and Sasya Santhe was a not-to-be-missed occasion on Bengaluru's cultural calendar.
Impact and Outreach
The event's popularity reflects growing urban interest in indoor gardening and green living, especially as city dwellers seek more sustainable living.
Sasya Santhe's success also benefits small businesses and local farmers by giving them a chance to sell to a new customer base and exchange information.
With a mix of commerce, education, and community engagement, Sasya Santhe 2025 has once again become a destination event among Bengaluru's eco-conscious citizens.
