Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on World Telecommunication and Information Society Day stated that India will be spearheading the creation of global regulations for 6G technology. Addressing the day, Scindia spoke of the revolution India's telecom industry has undergone under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the deployment of 5G having covered 82% of the population in 99% of the districts of the country in 22 months.
Scindia laid stress on the fact that India's advances in telecommunication put it at the cutting edge of the next 6G revolution, as he declared, "India will lead in defining the future 6G technology regulations." He also talked about the recent advancements in the post sector, with India Post having one of the largest logistics and delivery networks in the world, with 164,000 post offices and 250,000 postal employees.
Looking back on his stint and service to the industry, Scindia reaffirmed India's dedication to fuel innovation and bridge the digital gap, promising that the nation will keep propelling the world telecom revolution.
