From Bugti to Beyond: Govt Sends 30,000 Youth on Global Job Journeys

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti laid out plans to provide 30,000 youths with foreign employment opportunities in five years through the Chief Minister's Youth Skills Development Program. The program, launched in February 2025, has already sent its first batch to Saudi Arabia, and the subsequent groups will depart by June 2025 after skill training.

Target: Place youth in dignified jobs abroad, reducing contact with "anti-state elements" and remitting more.

 

Process: Disciplined training in professions like construction and hospitality, followed by visa/documentation facilitation.

 

Accountability: Beneficiaries must honor contracts or reimburse training costs upon premature return.

 

The program aims to render Baloch youth ambassadors of Pakistan while eradicating unemployment and economic insecurity in the province.
