Amazon India has launched its much-awaited home diagnostic service, Amazon Diagnostics, in six major cities—Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad—scaling up its healthcare offerings big time. More than 800 diagnostic tests are now available for booking by customers on the Amazon app, get doorstep sample collection within 60 minutes, and get digital reports within six hours for standard tests.
Key Highlights:
Amazon Diagnostics is available in partnership with Orange Health Labs having a network of seven labs and covering more than 450 pin codes.
The service is consistently aligned with Amazon's existing Pharmacy and Clinic services, which allow the users to manage consultations, prescriptions, and laboratory tests from a single interface.
They offer real-time booking of slots, map-verified locations, pre-test counseling, and secure report storage in the Amazon Health dashboard.
Both Prime and non-Prime customers are eligible for transparent pricing and NABL-accredited lab facilities.
The initiative aims to fight lengthy waiting times and availability issues, rendering preventive care more accessible and reliable to consumers in the city.
Prediction: As India's diagnostics industry speeds up, Amazon's entry will enhance competition and drive innovation. The venture will introduce more convenience and trust for consumers, and maybe even a new method urban India consumes health services
