With the success of the revival of the league in the 2024–25 season, which was joined by eight men's and four women's franchises, the next season will be even larger and more competitive. All Indian and international players who are eligible to play are encouraged to register, and invitations have also been sent to players from top hockey nations such as India, Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, Germany, and others.
More than 1,000 players played in both the women's and men's leagues last season, which indicates the increasing popularity of the league globally. Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers won the men's title, while the Odisha Warriors won the women's title.
Hockey India Chairperson and Hero Hockey India League Governing Committee President Dr. Dilip Tirkey had great enthusiasm in speaking, "The Hero Hockey India League has been a game changer for Indian hockey, and we are excited to carry on its resurgence in the 2026 season. The response of the players and the audience to the last season was phenomenal, and we are sure the next season will enhance the standard of hockey in India and solidify our international partnerships."
As we begin the countdown to Hero HIL 2026, participants and supporters from around the globe are invited to sign up and be a part of the next milestone season of top-class hockey action.
