Global Health Ltd, the operator of Medanta hospitals, has commenced operations at its newly leased 110-bed multi-specialty hospital in Ranchi, Jharkhand, effective July 23, 2025. The launch marks a strategic milestone in the company’s expansion across eastern India, reinforcing its commitment to accessible high-end tertiary care.

  • The Ranchi facility is operational under a long-term lease agreement and includes 54 ICU beds, advanced diagnostics, and modular operating theatres.
  • The hospital will offer specialties such as cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, and neurosciences, aligned with Medanta’s integrated care model.
  • The launch follows recent capacity additions in Lucknow and Patna, with Ranchi now contributing to the company’s 2,697-bed network.

  • The Ranchi hospital is part of Global Health’s plan to add 1,000 beds over two years, including upcoming greenfield projects in Mumbai, Pitampura, and South Delhi.
  • The company reported Q3 FY25 revenue of ₹943 crore, with occupancy rates improving to 63.6 percent and ARPOB at ₹61,307.
  • EBITDA margins stood at 25.6 percent, and PAT reached ₹143 crore, the highest quarterly profit to date.

  • Analysts expect the Ranchi unit to drive incremental revenue and improve regional patient volumes, especially in underserved Tier-II cities.
