The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is finalizing a six-lane elevated road project running parallel to the upcoming Gurugram metro corridor. Spanning 3.2 km between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk, the plan aims to ease congestion and integrate seamlessly with metro infrastructure, pending approvals from state authorities.
The GMDA has moved closer to executing a long-pending infrastructure upgrade with a six-lane elevated road designed to run parallel to the Gurugram metro corridor. The proposed 3.2 km stretch will begin near Hero Honda Chowk underpass and end at Umang Bhardwaj Chowk, aligning with the metro’s development plans.
The design has been shared with Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) for feedback, ensuring coordination between road and metro construction. Inputs are also being sought from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) regarding land requirements and integration with existing traffic networks.
