Hyderabad has officially entered the fast-food technology race with the arrival of Habit, a hyperlocal food delivery startup that promises to deliver fresh food in 10 minutes. A direct rival to Bengaluru's Zepto Café, Habit is changing the face of food delivery—prioritizing speed, quality, and carefully selected menu over mass quantity.

Developed from the Hyderabad-favourite Habitat Café, the app is started by Krishna Kanth Maila, who had a vision of taking the restaurant home. "Swiggy and Zomato are great, but 30–40 minute deliveries remain the norm," he said. "We wanted to solve that differently."

Operates with two cloud kitchens in Hyderabad's Kondapur area
Has a strict 2-kilometre delivery radius for freshness
Offers a diverse, chef-prepared menu with strong social media pull

While Zepto Cafe and Snacc of Swiggy have already made the 10-minute delivery space buzz, Habit is betting on good food experiences at quick delivery. The app is operational currently only in specific Hyderabad localities but its expansion plans are already in motion.

With Hyderabad's food tech scene heating up, Habit's arrival signals the shift from traditional delivery models to experience-driven, hyperlocal innovation.
