The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has formally announced the result of Indian Forest Service (IFS) Preliminary Examination 2025, held on May 25. The successful candidates in this phase will now proceed to the next stage—the IFS Mains Examination.

Major Highlights:

- The UPSC released the results on June 11 with roll numbers of pass candidates.
- The first test was also a screening test for Civil Services as well as Indian Forest Service exams.
- Results can be viewed on the official UPSC website.
- The time frame for change of details, i.e., fee payment and scribe assistance, will be open from June 16 to June 25.
- Cut-off marks, keys to answers, and cut-off scores are only released once the final results are out in 2026.
Future Action for Successful Candidates:

- Candidates must pay Rs 200 as an entry fee for the IFS Mains, with the exception of exempted categories.
- Candidates requiring help facilities or large-print question papers must update their data within the time limit.
- Any discrepancy in the name shall be corrected by a gazette notification.
