Godavari Power & Ispat Ltd (GPIL) has received environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change for its proposed 2 million tonnes per annum integrated steel plant in Chhattisgarh. The approval was granted during the 7th meeting of the Expert Appraisal Committee held on July 9, 2025.
