In a major boost to affordable mobility, the Haryana government has launched the ‘Happy Card’ scheme, offering free bus travel up to 1,000 km annually for economically weaker sections. Rolled out under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, the initiative aims to ease daily commutes and improve access to education, healthcare, and employment for low-income residents.

- Nominal one-time fee of ₹50 for card issuance
 
- How to Apply?
 
- Visit ebooking.hrtransport.gov.in
 
- Click on “Apply Happy Card” and enter your PPP Family ID
 
- Complete OTP verification, upload documents, and select your preferred depot
 
- Card can be collected from the chosen depot after SMS confirmation
 
- Offline Option
 
- Applicants can also apply via Common Service Centres (CSCs) using Aadhaar, age proof, and family ID
