Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Accra on July 2, the first Indian PM in over three decades to visit Ghana. In special diplomatic tradition, President John Dramani Mahama personally received Modi at Kotoka International Airport with ceremonial guard of honour and 21-gun salute—a show of the close and historical relationship between India and Ghana.
