HYROX, the fastest-growing fitness racing event in the world, has landed on Indian soil with a bang, with Country Head Deepak Raj drawing an ambitious target line: taking HYROX to the position of India's largest endurance fitness event. The vision was reinforced at the action-packed, sold-out New Delhi chapter at Yashobhoomi convention centre, barely months after its maiden Mumbai launch.

Driving Growth and Engagement

After launching in Mumbai in May 2025—attracting 1,650 competitors—HYROX recorded a 50% increase in attendance at its latest Delhi event, with over 2,600 athletes competing from all over India and abroad. Deepak Raj credits this growth to an increasing hunger for innovative, challenge-focused fitness and an extremely inclusive event format.
More than 30% of Delhi's contestants were female, and ages varied greatly from 18 to 75, reflecting HYROX's broad appeal and inclusivity. Divisions include singles, doubles, relay, and pro events, accommodating both newcomers and gym veterans.
The format of the race, which melds 8 x 1 km runs with interspersed functional workouts—such as SkiErg, Sled Push, Sandbag Lunges, Rowing, and Wall Balls—attracts runners, gym rats, and athletes alike under one competitive roof.

Strategic Alliances and Growth

Strategic partnerships with international brands such as PUMA, MyProtein, and Red Bull are increasing the event's visibility. PUMA coming on board as the official sportswear partner enables participation and nationwide awareness, thanks to their pre-existing presence in India's fitness industry.
With courses already full in Mumbai and Delhi, and Bengaluru up next on the 2025–26 race calendar, Deepak Raj's team is concentrating on expanding the event across the country and extending community outreach: "We feel we'll get there very soon. That's the vision—doing it in different locations and informing the masses about how inclusive this sport is."

Outlook: Making Endurance Fitness Mainstream With a sport that has been created to include all—due to inclusive race formats and various entry categories—HYROX is set to be a household name in the Indian fitness circuit.

With registrations flowing in and corporate, family, and individual categories growing, Deepak Raj's initiative is putting international-level endurance racing on the Indian map, fostering not only competition but a movement towards fitness, health, and sport.
