Hyundai Motor India has announced an ambitious plan to launch 26 new vehicles by 2030, aiming to reclaim its edge in the fiercely competitive Indian auto market. The lineup will include a mix of internal combustion engine (ICE) models, electric vehicles (EVs), and hybrids, reflecting Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and evolving consumer needs.

Key Highlights:

Hyundai will introduce 20 new ICE vehicles and 6 EVs by 2030, with the addition of hybrid models for the first time in its India portfolio.

The launch blitz is a direct response to rising competition from Tata Motors, Mahindra, and Maruti Suzuki, who have been gaining ground, especially in the SUV and EV segments.

Upcoming models will span across various segments and price points, including next-generation versions of popular cars like the Venue and Creta, facelifts for the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, and all-new hybrid SUVs.

The first strong hybrid from Hyundai is expected as early as September 2025, marking a significant shift toward eco-friendly powertrains.

Hyundai will also localize EV production, with its new Talegaon plant near Pune set to begin operations by late 2026, supporting the rollout of electric and hybrid vehicles.

The company’s strategy is to reinforce its ICE lineup while aggressively expanding its EV and hybrid offerings, aiming to appeal to a broader range of Indian buyers.

Hyundai’s leadership says these launches are designed to deepen customer engagement and strengthen the brand’s position in India’s fast-changing market.
