IIT Kharagpur Inaugurates Two-Day Impact RISE 2026 Conclave Focused on Sustainable Innovation

The Impact RISE 2026 Conclave, hosted by IIT Kharagpur, was inaugurated on January 18 at the institute’s Research Park in Newtown, Kolkata. The event was opened by ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan, who lit the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the start of a landmark initiative focused on sustainability, innovation, and social impact.

The conclave aims to foster collaboration between government officials, PSU leaders, scientists, academics, impact investors, and NGOs, aligning with India’s commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

• Sus10 Initiatives: 10 new startups, 10 sustainability certification programs, and 10 campus development projects aimed at achieving a net-zero campus.
