The Indian government has approved a ₹1,000 crore ($119 million) venture capital fund to support space startups over the next five years. This initiative, announced by the Union Cabinet, aims to bolster India's growing space sector and attract private investment. The fund will provide financial support ranging from ₹10 to ₹60 crore per startup, depending on their development stage and potential impact. This move is expected to generate jobs, drive innovation in satellite and launch vehicle technology, and help India capture a larger share of the global space market.
