In a major push toward tax reform and ease of doing business, the Union Finance Ministry has announced a simplified Goods and Services Tax registration process under the GST 2.0 initiative. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the new system during the inauguration of the CGST Bhawan in Ghaziabad. The reform targets small enterprises and government-linked entities, reducing bureaucratic delays and enhancing digital compliance.
