Launched in October 2024, e-vikrAI leverages BharatGen’s vision-language models to streamline e-commerce processes for sellers who do not use English. By simply uploading product images, the platform auto-generates product titles, descriptions, and pricing recommendations in 22 Indian languages, breaking language barriers and boosting local commerce. This generative AI tool is a prime example of how AI is being tailored to India’s linguistic diversity to enhance accessibility and inclusiveness in digital markets.

OpenAI Academy India: Democratizing AI Education Nationwide

OpenAI, in partnership with the IndiaAI Mission under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, launched OpenAI Academy India in June 2025. This academy marks OpenAI’s first international education platform rollout, aiming to broaden access to AI skills for students, developers, educators, civil servants, nonprofit leaders, and small business owners across the country. With a blended digital and in-person learning model, the curriculum is initially offered in English and Hindi, with plans to add regional languages. India is witnessing a surge in AI-focused data center projects, including RackBank’s newly launched AI Data Center Park in Raipur—the country’s first dedicated AI computing hub. Spanning over 13.5 acres with an 80 MW power capacity and over 100,000 GPUs, this ₹1000 crore facility aims to foster innovation, skill development, and job creation in AI, data science, and cloud computing. Other states like Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana are actively competing to attract AI and data center investments, supporting India’s position as a growing AI hub.
