India's electronics sector recorded a historic record, with manufacturing jumping fivefold over the decade to ₹11 lakh crore (₹1,100,000 crore) as of April 2025. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw celebrated the milestone as a result of government efforts like 'Make in India' and the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) programme for the booming sector.
