IPL 2025 Playoff Race Intensifies as Teams Jockey for Top Spots

The IPL 2025 points table is heating up as teams battle for playoff qualification in the league's 18th edition. Gujarat Titans currently lead the standings with 12 points from eight matches, boasting a strong net run rate of +1.104. Delhi Capitals follow closely in second place, also with 12 points but a slightly lower net run rate of +0.657.  

 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings occupy the third and fourth positions, each with 10 points from eight matches. Their net run rates stand at +0.472 and +0.177, respectively, keeping them in contention for playoff spots. Lucknow Super Giants, despite their recent loss to Delhi Capitals, remain in fifth place with 10 points from nine matches but face challenges due to their negative net run rate of -0.054.  

 

Mumbai Indians, with 8 points and a positive net run rate of +0.483, are pushing hard to secure a playoff berth. Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Chennai Super Kings round out the bottom of the table, with CSK struggling at the last spot with only 4 points from eight matches.
