Veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra and his family have made headlines with the sale of a prime Andheri land parcel and commercial buildings for a staggering Rs 855 crore to NTT Global Data Centers & Cloud Infrastructure India, marking one of the largest real estate transactions involving a Bollywood family.
Mega Transaction:
The deal, registered in May 2025, involved two contiguous land parcels spanning 9,664.68 sq. m (about 2.39 acres) and three commercial buildings, currently known as Balaji IT Park, with a built-up area of approximately 4.9 lakh sq. ft.
Seller and Buyer:
The property was sold through Jeetendra’s family-owned firms, Pantheon Buildcon Private Limited and Tusshar Infra Developers Private Limited. The buyer, NTT Global Data Centers (formerly Netmagic IT Services), is a Japanese tech giant and India’s largest data center provider, looking to expand its digital infrastructure footprint in the country.
Financial Details:
The transaction attracted a stamp duty of Rs 8.69 crore and registration charges of Rs 30,000. NTT reportedly paid a significant premium over the market rate, reflecting the surging demand for data center real estate in Mumbai.
Strategic Importance:
The acquisition gives NTT a critical foothold in Andheri, a major commercial hub, amid India’s booming demand for digital infrastructure driven by AI, cloud computing, and digital transformation.
Family Legacy:
Jeetendra, a Bollywood icon with over 200 films, remains a prominent industry figure, while his children Ekta and Tusshar Kapoor are active in film and television production.
This blockbuster deal underscores the growing intersection of entertainment, real estate, and India’s digital future.
