JioStar Revamps Sports Channels in Preparation for IPL 2025

JioStar is set to launch several regional sports channels in both SD and HD formats, retiring the Sports18 brand in favor of Star Sports1. Five Sports18 channels will be rebranded as Star Sports, including new Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada offerings1. The HD versions are scheduled to launch on March 15, 20251. JioStar's sports portfolio will expand to 24 channels across multiple languages1. Additionally, Colors Rishtey and Star Utsav will transition to free-to-air platforms1. Nine channels, including Comedy Central and Vh1, will be discontinued12. After realignment, JioStar will operate 130 pay and FTA channels across SD and HD formats1.
