JSW Energy Ltd has successfully commissioned 281 MW of organic renewable energy capacity, comprising 215 MW of solar and 66 MW of wind, boosting its total installed capacity to 12,499 MW. This strategic addition comes just ahead of India’s peak wind season, enhancing the company’s clean energy output and pushing its renewables share to 55%.
In a parallel move, its subsidiary JSW Renew Energy Three Ltd signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd for 250 MW of STU-connected wind capacity in Maharashtra, priced at ₹3.65/kWh. The project is expected to be commissioned within the next 24 months.
JSW Energy now boasts a locked-in generation pipeline of 29.9 GW and 29.3 GWh of energy storage, with ambitions to hit 30 GW capacity and 40 GWh storage by FY2030. The company reaffirmed its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050 under its “Strategy 3.0” roadmap.
