JSW MG Motor India continues its impressive growth trajectory, reporting 5,829 units sold in June 2025, a robust 21% increase over the same period last year. This sustained momentum highlights the joint venture’s strengthening presence in the Indian automotive market, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) segment.
Key Highlights:
Consistent Growth: The 21% year-on-year sales growth in June follows a record-breaking May, where the company sold 6,304 units, marking a 40% surge compared to May 2024. This consistent performance underscores rising consumer confidence in the brand’s offerings.
EV Leadership: The Windsor EV and its Pro variants remain key drivers of sales, with JSW MG Motor India’s EV portfolio now accounting for over 60% of monthly sales in 2025. The Windsor alone crossed the 20,000-unit milestone within six months of launch, cementing its status as a best-seller.
Product Innovation: Recent launches, including the Windsor Pro series with advanced features like Level 2 ADAS and extended range, have attracted tech-savvy buyers and reinforced the brand’s innovative image.
Upcoming Price Hike: The company has announced a price increase of up to 1.5% across most models effective July 1, 2025, citing rising input costs and macroeconomic factors. Despite this, demand remains strong, with the company projecting that EVs will comprise up to 65% of total sales by year-end.
Expanding Portfolio: JSW MG Motor India is preparing to launch new models, including the MG Cyberster and M9, aiming to further diversify its lineup and capture emerging market segments.
