KT Rama Rao Calls for Citizen Power to Ensure Mock Drill Success

 

BRS CMD KT Rama Rao has exhorted all the citizens to join the nationwide civil defence mock drill on May 7, citing that people's involvement is indispensable for the effectiveness of emergency readiness measures. Union Home Ministry has arranged these mock drills in 244 districts as a step in increased security following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Drills will be carried out in the form of blackout simulations, evacuation drills, and awareness drives to ensure and augment response in case of an emergency. Hyderabad will take part in the exercise at Secunderabad, DRDO Kanchanbagh, and Golconda at 4 p.m., with citizens requested to remain calm and follow official advice. KTR highlighted that such exercises are in the national interest and help augment the strength of the nation against threats.
