Akshay Kumar’s much-anticipated comedy, Housefull 5, continues its impressive box office run, crossing the Rs 200 crore mark globally by its eighth day. Despite a predictable weekday dip, the film remains a major draw for audiences, solidifying its place among the year’s top Bollywood hits.

Key Highlights:

Housefull 5 collected approximately Rs 6 crore net in India on its eighth day, bringing its total India net collection to over Rs 133 crore. The film’s global tally has surpassed Rs 200 crore, making it one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2025 so far.

The film opened strong with Rs 24 crore on its first day and maintained momentum through the opening weekend, peaking at Rs 32.5 crore on Sunday. The first week’s India net collection stood at Rs 127 crore, with a gross of Rs 152 crore, and overseas earnings estimated at Rs 42 crore.

With this performance, Housefull 5 has become Akshay Kumar’s third biggest Hindi hit of the year and is now among his highest-grossing films ever.

The film features a star-studded ensemble cast including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, and more, contributing to its wide appeal.

Despite mixed reviews and criticism regarding its content, the movie’s box office numbers have defied expectations, though its high production budget of Rs 240 crore raises questions about overall profitability.

Audience occupancy on the eighth day saw a dip, with overall Hindi occupancy at 11.71%. However, industry experts expect a rebound over the weekend as family audiences return to theaters.

Housefull 5 is now the fourth Bollywood film in 2025 to cross the Rs 200 crore global mark, joining the ranks of Chhaava, Sikandar, and Raid 2.
