The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a lavender plantation project along a 16-kilometre stretch of the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway. The initiative aims to enhance roadside aesthetics, promote aroma tourism, and support local livelihoods through sustainable cultivation in partnership with CSIR–IIIM.
